Whilst Kate & William were celebrating their nuptials on the 29th April in front of the world, we were preparing for an equally happy but much more intimate celebration on the 30th when Karen and Dave (also Londoners) tied the knot in the olive grove here at The Cowshed. Surrounded by family & close friends from the UK, Australia and South Africa, the happy couple were serenaded by our choir in true African tradition. The bride looked stunning in a strapless, form-fitting frock, whilst her bridesmaids looked like nymphs of the forest in shades of green.
The weather co-operated and guests enjoyed cake, canapés & champagne on the lawn whilst the photographer captured the happy occasion.
A piñata in the form of a somewhat misshapen Nguni was dismembered with much hilarity by blindfolded guests who enjoyed the sweet treats that poured from its paper-mãchè belly.
The wedding party then dined like royalty on a feast prepared by Maryann of Events Unlimited and partied into the wee small hours.
