After weeks of grey, overcast weather, Saturday, 3rd November dawned bright & sunny, just perfect for a celebration. This meant that Carol and MJ’s wedding ceremony took place under the tipiana tree, as planned, in all its summer glory.
Carol broke with tradition and wore an exquisite claret coloured taffetta gown with a tightly laced basque bodice which flared into a full skirt with a black tulle petticoat. A chic black fascinator finished off the outfit and she looked absolutely gorgeous!
The old Shed looked extremely elegant; the tables decked with gleaming silver candelabra and magnificent bowls of red roses and proteas, artfully styled by the groom’s god-mother, Estelle, from The Flowermarket in Nelspruit. Guests enjoyed a delicious meal prepared by Nathalie Swart from The Red Pepper Co. in Middleburg and her band of able helpers. Carol, MJ, family & friends celebrated until the wee small hours. Carolien & Ben snapped away, capturing all the heartfelt and happy moments and we are thrilled that they have already shared some of their images with us. Congratulations to Carol & MJ; we wish you a long and happy life together. Thanks for choosing The Cowshed as the place to begin your journey into the future.
